More Protein In Soy Milk

If you do not have the time to make your own soy milk, then you can purchase soy milk from a local food store.

Read the nutritional information, including ingredients on the packaging as some brands add oil, sugar, flavorings and stabilizers to improve texture and appearance of the product.

The appeal of soy milk is the high amount of protein. It is one of the highest of all non-animal sources.

As the milk is made from beans, it is also an excellent source of fiber, to help your bowel movements.

Isoflavones are also found in soy milk and these are helpful in slowing the aging process with its anti-oxidant effect.

Not to mention, soy milk has been shown to help reduce menopausal symptoms and to reduce the risk of many cancers, heart disease, osteoporosis and helps to strengthen bones by improving calcium absorption.

Even if it helps the absorption of calcium, soy milk does not contain much of its own calcium, although some soy milks have added calcium to compensate.

If you prefer the taste of soy over cow milk but still crave calcium, then look for the calcium added version at the local food store.
