Warehouse Clubs For Cheaper Groceries

You've worked all day, you come home to a starving household, you look in the cabinet for something quick to make…and you have nothing. The hustle and bustle of the workweek has given you amnesia and you have forgotten to go to the supermarket, again.

Warehouse Clubs can help you to stock up your shelves and not panic when you need to cook, or even clean, at the last minute. There are some other issues that accompany these stores that you should know in advance before you try to save some time.

There are usually long lines, especially on the weekends. Many people who buy in bulk are busy during the week with work and life, so they have to do their shopping on the weekend.

Also, many of these stores do not take a large selection of credit cards. For instance, Sam's Club will only take Discover cards, and anything else has to be in cash or check form. BJ's and Costco do not take American Express, but Costco will take MasterCard.

Don't make the mistake of shopping and gathering two carts worth of supplies, only to find out that you don't have a check or a debit card on you. Knowing what the individual policies of the particular club will save you time.

Some people do buy memberships and don't use them or visit warehouse stores so infrequently that the cost of the membership isn't offset by savings. Many singles or childless couples think warehouse shopping is for large families with kids, but in truth, we all use staples such as toilet paper, soap, and cereal.

Shopping at a bulk store does mean that you'll need to make sure you have enough storage space at home, but the convenience pays off, saving you plenty of rushed, weekly trips to grocery stores.
